Jozour is a non-profit civil organization rooted in the belief that every person deserves dignity, equality, and the opportunity to shape their own community. Born from the resilience of local communities in southern Syria, we stand for inclusion, accountability, and dialogue. Our work is guided by the idea that lasting change begins from the ground up with the people most affected at the heart of the solutions.

Jozour was founded on the conviction that communities thrive when they are empowered to lead their own development. In a region deeply impacted by conflict and inequality, we recognized the urgent need for spaces where people could come together, share knowledge, and take collective action. What began as a grassroots initiative has grown into a trusted platform for civic education, community research, and participatory projects that give voice to those often unheard.
